Carolina ‘Loló’ Bonfanti and Josefina Anglada spent one weekend in Grünewald with some materials and no preconceived ideas. Through conversing with the forest and playful experimentation, they arrived at a series of photos and ephemeral jewellery pieces.
Throughout the history of mankind, jewelry was used as amulets to protect against harm and worn for ceremonial occasions. The artists submerged into a ceremony with the forest and let their naked bodies be decorated by leaves and other natural surfaces. They decorated trees with rings and metals to invite for an equal sharing.
